Chisinau Circus Performance w/ Karl Hallberg

Chisinau, Moldova 2013

As part of the Oberliht residency in Chisinau, Moldova, we recruited artists and performers to reanimate the Chisinau Circus, Moldova's stunning Soviet era circus building that has lay dormant for almost ten years. Inspired by the building’s murals and relief sculptures, we created costumes sourced from second hand markets, and led a parade though the city to the building, where we reinhabited the building and performed once more as an homage to the past performers of the circus.
